Random...

Traci opening her new camera! The coolest part was that I tricked her by giving her a bunch of little random gifts that mom had in her house and Traci was acting really excited when she would open them...mom and I were cracking up ; )

Go KU!
The Money Man. H. told dad he wanted dollars and this is what he got...lots of them.
Elf
My excitement in opening my gift from H.
My Boo and Zen watching TV.
I had to take a pic of Zen as she is getting quite jealous of all of the attention toward P.
The baby T's were not covering the lower drain so thanks Sophia for giving up one of your one piece units! A perfect fit.

Have a nice evening ; )

Under the knife...addendum

When I picked Pouncer up, the vet had put some ratty red t-shirt on them that probably would have fit me. They had it tied up in the back and he looked like a Hooter's waitress. I know he was humiliated. I left him on my bed and went back to work this evening. When I got home, it was neatly placed in the corner of my bed and he was resting without it! For having such a large incision, he sure is mobile. ; )

Under the knife...

When I left on Friday, Pouncer's wound was improving. However, upon our return from Tahoe, he had worsened once again. The cat sitter said he was not moving around much over the weekend. The abscess took a turn for the worse and developed a deep tunnel that traveled from his shoulder down to around his elbow. He packed his suitcase and went back to the Animal Hospital today, s/p extensive surgery with staples and 3 drains left in place. More antibiotics. And, the only thing I thought was kind of cute about this whole situation is that he has to wear a t-shirt! With humans, the end of the drains will have a collection device. With animals, apparently they leave them open...that is where the t-shirt comes in...to soak up any drainage? So, my condo is draped with towels, blankets, etc. and P. is the proud new owner of 2 cute t-shirts.
I hope he gets better soon ; (
We love him so much.

Our wedding album...and random updates

Today KB dropped off a little surprise that I have been waiting on...our wedding album. I could not be happier with it and LOVE the golden antique-ish cover that matched one of our wedding colors. Take a look at a few of the pages.

Have not been up to much lately, just busy working and eating beans every evening with Jessica since Kent has been traveling a lot for work. Jessica and I even walked to a gas station one evening to get a pop. Thanks Jessica for feeding me this week. I am leaving for Tahoe tomorrow afternoon as Kent is in a wedding there on Sunday. Really looking forward to this fun trip and to see my Boo ; )

Pouncer got really sick last weekend...developed ascites and started limping. I was sure that his kidneys or liver were failing. He spent all day Monday in the Vet Hospital and apparently had a large abscess near his shoulder -- likely a cat bite. Lab work confirmed an infection and home he came after abx, pain meds to take prn and a new insulin dose. He has made a remarkable recovery and is on the prowl for the stray cat that likely took a bite of him. Yesterday I had a scare. I had let P. out without his collar to play for a a while. I saw the stray cat come to our door so ran outside to look for P. As I ran outside, I saw the animal control truck and feared the worst. I ran after the truck and ask the lady if she had my cat...she responded...we don't pick up cats...your cat is safe. Thank goodness! Sorry for the longwinded post. ; )
